A year and a half after the release of the band’s last song, the moment that both the band itself and the fans have been waiting for has arrived.
“We’ve worked hard on this album and we’re very excited to finally have the first song squadile and to present to the whole world. This is the beginning of an exciting era for us and we still have many great things to do,” says singer Karl Mesipuu.
“Taste the Doom is one of the darkest songs on the album,” comments singer Ian Karell. “This speaks to our tendency to cover up serious problems with quick fixes, numbing ourselves to reality itself. Too often we try not to look at problems, but to escape from them through various addictions, which can lead to serious consequences.»
“But by writing a story about this topic, we hope to draw more attention to the need to talk about mental health in an open and honest way, so that anyone who needs help can get it,” adds drummer Henri Kuusk.
The single is accompanied by an equally aggressive music video that matches the mood of the song like a punch to an eye socket. «Taste the Doom» is currently available on all major streaming platforms!
Horror Dance Squad is one of the most talked about metal bands in Estonia, boldly mixing metalcore, punk and pop music, adding to it an explosive live performance. Horror Dance Squad does not spread the dark and negative message typical of the metal style, but shares current social and existential issues with the public through a contagious positivity.
Since their creation in 2014, the band has been able to share their unique style on the biggest stages in Estonia and abroad, including one of Europe’s largest metal festivals, Wacken Open Air, as well as the Impericon Festival of 2023.
