The American singer Gregory Porter, the main performer of the Christmas Jazz festival, performed in Tallinn on Friday. The artist, who performed in Estonia for the third time, gave a concert in the Alexela concert hall with a sold-out house.
A total of 15 concerts were held at the 28th annual Christmas Jazz Festival. The last concert of the festival took place on the evening of December 15th, when the American singer-composer Gregory Porter, awarded with two Grammys and belonging to the absolute top of the world’s jazz singers, took to the stage.
The festival’s artistic director, Anne Erm, is happy with Friday’s concert. “This year’s Christmas jazz was warm, welcoming and touching. The audience particularly enjoyed the concert by Gregory Porter and his musicians yesterday, where every phrase of the emotional music covering several styles spoke and reached the listener Gregory Porter was very happy to meet the great Estonian audience once again, and the warm applause from the audience said the same thing.”
The Jazzkaar festival will take place from April 25 to 28 next year.
