in autumn a 15 year old dachshund died, already at Christmas they were looking for a new breed – TV3

The meeting between Emma, a black Australian shepherd and her one-year-old son, doesn’t seem very romantic. “I see that our dog, the mother, is starting to raise her adult son, so to speak. I must admit that, looking from the side, it is so, even the mother’s somewhat evil behavior towards her dog. Again once, a wiser dog breeder said that it must have been such a story of nature, that actually the mother does not want her son to be a shepherd. We all know that nature is very intelligent. In terms of offspring, etc., those who are ready to look after themselves in nature are still driven away from the herd. Probably does something like that. In them there is no romantic relationship between mother and child, it is a harsh upbringing. But if you let them run from alone in the open field, it’s still beautiful to watch,” Perling said.

Emma came to the Lavly Perling family six years ago in a classic way. Their 15-year-old dachshund had died and the family decided not to get another dog. “What’s there to hide, when the dachshund left in September, I was the first in the family to start exploring new breeds at Christmas. I wanted a smart dog who would run with me. I wanted a child-friendly dog.”

Emma lives up to Lavly Perling’s expectations. She is a sturdy and intelligent working dog who is successful in many areas. “He likes to graze. When there are already five people from his herd in the forest, he starts running around the herd and herding them. Another beautiful story, in my opinion, is the story of swimming. He doesn’t let me swim. Above all he doesn’t let me he allows, because probably for him I’m the boss’s food and it would be terrible if something happened. The fact is that as soon as you start swimming, he pulls you back like a member of the pack.”
