Indoor football team starts Baltic and Nordic caricature tournament | Soccer

The Estonian futsal team will start their Baltic and Nordic futsal cup matches in Denmark on Tuesday. The team’s coach, Mikko Kytölä, nominated 14 players.

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Norway and Greenland participate in the Baltic and Nordic Indoor Football Cup, divided into two subgroups of three members. Estonia plays in a subgroup with Lithuania and Latvia. The first match of the subgroup will be played on Tuesday 12 December, when they will face the Lithuanian national team, while the following day, 13 December, the Estonians will face Latvia. The kick-off time for both matches is 5.45pm Estonian time.

Mikko Kytölä, making his debut as coach of the Estonian indoor team, is excited and motivated before the competition. “For me, coaching the Estonian national team is a great honor. I’m excited to meet the players for the first time and start a journey together with them. I expect it will take us some time to get to know each other, so the cup competition is a great opportunity to get started,” said Kytölä.

Kytölä added that the goal of participating in the competition is to gather information about the current situation and express one’s thoughts in a playful way. “Our aim is to introduce important tactical concepts and take the first steps in the development of our game, both defensively and offensively. The next four matches will provide us with valuable information on our current state and highlight areas that need attention in the near future This is also to be ready in April in the preliminary round of the European Championships”, said the coach.
