Villemdrillem is very excited to be able to appear on the music awards stage again: “We are working on it right now show I’m working on it and I dare to give my word that there is a reason to wait for February 1st. The Estonian Music Awards are the main event of our industry and are important for almost all artists, especially young ones. There is no denying that you expect recognition after giving your best and then some. Music awards are the culmination of everything. There are always more people who feel they deserve recognition than nominations, so this brings with it a fair amount of buzz and mixed feelings.”
Although Anett Kulbin and Frederik Küüts have already appeared on the stage at the music awards, they will perform together for the first time as the band Anett x Fredi. Their year was largely spent under the star of the creation of the album “Read Between The Lines”. “It was an emotional, emotional and beautiful process. The joint album means a lot to both of us, and the same can be said about performing at the gala – it’s a truly great joy and honor,” Anett says.
“I am extremely grateful and proud of both our team and the nomination. I am really looking forward to our performance – I dare promise that we will do our best and bring something special and beautiful to the music awards stage,” adds Fredi.
Mari Kalkun has had an extraordinary year, in which the work she has done has begun to bear fruit: “The album “Stoonia lood” has received incredible mentions in both national and international media. So far I have played the biggest concerts of my life, for example in Great Britain and Portugal. I experience first-hand that music created in Estonia, building on its roots, can also speak on the other side of the globe. See you at the Estonian Music Awards!”
Additionally, ALIKA, Bedwetters, NOËP and Marju Länik will perform at the gala. The winners of the Estonian Music Awards 2024 will be announced at a spectacular gala on February 1 at Unibet Arena. Estonia’s most outstanding music producers, performers and authors are honored at the annual Estonian music event. 20 prizes will be awarded, 18 of which will be selected by a jury of 160 musical experts. The recipient of the Contribution to Estonian Music award was chosen by the Estonian Association of Phonogram Producers. The public will be able to choose their favorite Artist of the Year in a referendum starting on January 18, which will be open on the www.sky.ee portal.
