Love won’t save you

At the moment it is fashionable to close your eyes in case of trouble, put on a pious expression and immerse yourself in love. It’s hard to say whether this is an accidental misunderstanding or malicious brainwashing, but it doesn’t work. Disagreements do not disappear in denial.

“I went through the same thing too,” Lisette says. “I was in a relationship for eight years straight, so at best there was a six-month difference. And there were some really horrible experiences.” The young woman was in desperate need of security, she did not want to take any responsibility and this, unfortunately, is a breeding ground for the most terrible relationships in her life.

Slightly violent

“Why did I dive into my first relationship? I just wanted to get away from home,” Lisette begins. She did not find a common language with her mother and the situation at home was completely unstable. From there her anxiety began. “I made up for the lack of security at home with a relationship.” Lisette was 16 years old at the time. She just needed the next partner to fill the void: the girl had just turned 18, the man 25. “It’s a terrible age difference. Now, when I look back, I wouldn’t look at someone so young!”
