Johanna Allik donated a voluminous work to her beloved field. “I hope it inspires everyone who loves skateboarding”

The 300+ page book was officially released on December 1st. Allik, who ended his sporting career in 2017 and now works as a coach in Belgium and runs a clothing brand with his family, created the work as his final thesis for his specialization in graphic design at the University of Mainori.

“For the last ten years I thought I wanted to write something about figure skating and create added value for this area. There were three or four different tests. I started the book several times, deciding each time that it was still not quite what I wanted to do. In the spring, when I started doing my thesis, I thought about making an illustrated book about skating, but within a few weeks it became clear to me that I wanted to do something bigger, add topics that concern all skaters, interviews that have never been done with skaters from around the world and create images that can inspire and involve people related to skating in the project,” said Allik.
