We have been taught to communicate our situation as it is, and this is how we have behaved since summer 2022. However, the media and what is published in the media have great power: the possible closure of the aquatic center has been only written once, but just a few days ago I was asked again if there was a plan to reopen it. However, the aquatic center was never closed. On the contrary, attendance is constantly increasing. The rapid reorganization of the municipality’s financial management in the first days of the year has only recently attracted media attention, but since the reorganization the economic situation of the municipality has improved significantly. It was also possible to cancel the originally planned loan payment suspension.
At the same time, there were many vacancies and there was also a lack of heads of institutions. One of the most unexpected was the departure of the director of the Suure-Jaani school for Tartu. In the town hall it seemed that the external image or reputation of the Municipality was poor, and a year ago there were also many questions from the outside about the situation of the Municipality, but the reality showed something completely different compared to the past year. The image of the Municipality has definitely improved. We managed to fill the vacancies in the municipal hall with very good people, and we also found new good and experienced managers to manage the municipal institutions.
