Kim Jong-un said that South Korea should be considered the main enemy and threatens war

In a speech before the country’s parliament, or Supreme People’s Council, Kim said he had come to the conclusion that unification with South Korea was no longer possible and accused Seoul of seeking to overthrow the North Korean regime and absorb the country, Reuters reports.

Kim said the constitution must be amended to educate North Koreans that South Korea is the “principal enemy” and define North Korean territory as separate from South Korea.

“We don’t want war, but we have no intention of avoiding it,” Kim told KCNA.

According to Kim, North Korea should also plan to occupy, subjugate and reconquer South Korea in the event of war, and South Koreans should no longer be called fellow countrymen. Kim called for a halt to all communications between the Koreas and the destruction of Pyongyang’s reunification monument.

According to Kim, three organizations involved in unification and inter-Korean tourism must also be closed.
