The best female junior is selected by the board of the Estonian Football Federation from among the players nominated by the coaches of the women’s team. You could choose between players born from 2002 onwards.
This year the top three (in alphabetical order): Katrin Kirpu, Liisa Merisalu and Kristina Teern.
The 19-year-old Kirpu, who made her debut for the women’s team late last year, has represented the women’s team a total of six times this year. At the same time, Kipru scored her debut goal for the women’s national team in the international match against Turkey. At club level, Kirpu belongs to the Finnish Premier League club Aland United, previously the Estonian represented the women’s teams FC Lahti and HJK.
