At the Ski Jumping World Cup stage in Szczyrk, Poland, Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi won the qualification for the normal climb. Artti Aigro was disqualified for an inappropriate suit.
Aigro jumped 94.5 meters in the qualification and earned 111.9 points, but for the above-mentioned reason he did not get the result.
The best performance of the qualification was achieved by Ryoyu Kobayashi, who just won the Four Jumping Mountain Tour, whose jump of 100.5 meters was worth 132.4 points. The next three men fall within 1.5 points.
Slovenian Anže Lanišek (99.5 m; 132.3 p) was only 0.1 points behind Kobayashi, who in turn lost by 0.7 points to German Andreas Wellinger (100.5 m; 131.6 p). Fourth place for the Slovenian Lovro Kos (99.5 m; 130.9 p). Austrian Stefan Kraft, the overall leader of the MK series, placed seventh (97 m; 125.9 p).
The main race in Normaalmäe will take place on Wednesday. Qualifying for the big mountain is scheduled for Friday and the main race is on Sunday.
