Kyrgyzstan, who crushed the Saudis, received a red card in both halves – Soccernet.ee

Saudi Arabia made a strong move to win Group F of the Asian Cup with a two-goal win over Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, closest pursuers Thailand and Oman settled for a 0-0 draw.

On the second day of play, Saudi Arabia met Kyrgyzstan, who in the 9th minute got into an awkward position: the deceased central defender Ayzar Akmatov flew between the legs of Sami Al-Najei in front of the caps and was rewarded with a red card. Although the Kyrgyzstan goal held up in the first move, Mohamed Kanno scored the first goal in the 35th minute.

Playing in an individual minority, Kyrgyzstan fell further into the quagmire in the 52nd minute, when Kimi Merk also cut his opponent’s leg with his studs and was then sent off the pitch. Half an hour later, Saudi Arabia sealed the victory when Karim Benzema’s teammate Faisal Al-Ghamdi’s long-range shot passed through the hands of the Kyrgyz goalkeeper and into the net. For the 22-year-old midfielder, in his sixth match for the national team, it was the first goal for his country.

In the same group, neither Oman nor Thailand could decide who was better, so both got a point for the 0-0 draw. On the last day of the match, the neighbors in the table will meet, that is, Saudi Arabia and Thailand will determine who will be the first in the group.
