This is the first match in the new Raja football hall built in Mustamäe, which they only got permission to use this Thursday, and where the Tallinn Kalev team could finally train for the first time on Friday.
Riga FS started the Livonian Winter League with a 5-0 victory over Kalevi and thanks to this they are top of the table. Paide drew 0:0 away from home against FK Liepaja.
In previous training matches, Paide lost against Seinäjoki JK 0:3 and drew 3:3 with Inter Turu.
“Even though the last match and the long journey are still ahead, the coaches and players have worked hard in the last two days to prepare for the RFS match. We play against a good team, the reigning Latvian champions, so it will be a good test for us, in which we want to show ourselves as the best possible team,” City Team coach Ivan Stojkovic commented on the club’s Facebook page. “In tomorrow’s match (today, ed.) compliance with the agreed game model will be decisive: if we follow the plan and believe in it, we will obtain a positive result of the protocol.”
