Lukashenko called on Ukraine and the Baltic states to stop looking for a better life abroad

“And what prevented Ukraine and the Baltic states from cooperating with us? This is our world, we have been building it for several decades,” Lukashenko said, Interfax reports.

Lukashenko recalled that the Soviet republics won the Great Patriotic War together and called for them to continue “moving in this direction”.

“No, they don’t want to, they are looking for a better life beyond the seas,” Lukashenko reproached Ukraine and the Baltic states.

Lukashenko expressed the opinion that Ukraine will return to the “post-Soviet Slavic countries”.

“It would not be bad if someone from Ukraine was here. After all, the three Slavic nations have all suffered. But they are not, it is their choice to take another course. But I think they will return to us. There is no way exit,” Lukashenko said, adding that it is important to honor the victims of Nazism and open memorials to them throughout the territory of the former Soviet Union.
