26-year-old Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek has moved from Manchester United to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.
The Ajax stud from Amsterdam joined Manchester United in the summer of 2020 with high expectations, but failed to establish a foothold at the English club. Van de Beek, acquired for 40 million euros, played just 35 games for United in the Premier League. In January 2022, van de Beek was loaned to Everton for six months, for whom he made seven Premier League appearances.
Eintracht initially rented van de Beek for six months, but can then buy the Dutchman from United for 11 million euros if they wish. Added to this are possible bonuses worth three to four million.
Eintracht are sixth in the German top flight after 16 rounds, 18 points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Eintracht will return from the winter break on January 13 when they face fourth-placed RB Leipzig away from home.
