Kayti Edwards, 47, dated Perry for a while in 2006 and worked as Perry’s assistant in 2011. At that time the man was particularly addicted to drugs. Edwards recalled that Perry had once used extreme methods to abstain from drug use, The Sun reports.
“I was with Matthew at his house in the Hollywood Hills. He was in very bad condition. He had been taking various drugs all night, probably crack and other substances,” Edwards recalled of the 2011 incident.
“I found him on the couch, Matthew had his hands glued to his legs. It was terribly sad. I had to use nail polish remover and olive oil to free him. We ripped his arms off his leg along with his hair, he It was really gruesome,” Edwards recalls of the horrific incident.
Kayti, who happens to be the granddaughter of famous actress Julie Andrews, said Perry had major drug problems his entire life. “Even when he was ‘clean’ and in rehab, he was always thinking about drug use.”
