Matthew Perry’s official cause of death has been revealed

Matthew Perry died from “acute effects of ketamine” and is being treated as an accident, according to TMZ. Ketamine is used as a narcotic, but also as a medicine against depression and is also used by veterinarians.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner released a new report showing that Perry had been receiving ketamine therapy for depression a week and a half before his death. The ketamine found in his body after his death “however could not have come from this therapy, because the effects of ketamine last 3-4 hours or less.”

According to the expert, ketamine caused an overload of the cardiovascular system and respiratory problems in Perry’s body.

No traces of alcohol, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl or phencyclidine were found in his body.

Drowning, coronary heart disease and the effects of buprenorphine were listed as contributing factors to Perry’s death. Buprenorphine is used to wean people addicted to opioids.
