Milan return with a last-minute equalizer saved by a club legend and a red light – Soccernet.ee

The great Italian club AC Milan dropped points for the seventh time in this championship, drawing 2:2 away from home with the red lantern Salernitana.

Milan took an early lead when Fikayo Tomori was fouled in the confusion after a free kick, but Salernitana pulled one back before half-time when Federico Fazio headed home a corner. Salernitana took the lead midway through the second half when Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan headed Antonio Candreva’s long-range shot. In the 90th minute, the point was saved for Milan by substitute Luka Jovic, who scored from a pass from Olivier Giroud.

Milan, who achieved their third draw of the season along with ten wins and four defeats, remain in third place, but Milan Inter and Torino Juventus, who have played fewer games, are eight and four points behind respectively. Salernitana, close to their second success of the season, languishes in last place with nine points. At the same time, Salernitana is coached by former attacking ace Filippo Inzaghi, who played for Milan from 2001 to 2012 and scored 126 goals. He also began his coaching career at Milan.

Fiorentina overtook Napoli and Bologna in the standings by beating Monza 1-0 thanks to Lucas Beltran’s opening goal in the Formula One city, moving up to fourth place. Lazio beat Empoli 2-0, but lost two players in the first half when both Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto left the field due to injury. Genoa transformed the 0:1 defeat against Sassuolo into a 2:1 victory.
