Milrem delivers 60 robotic vehicles to the United Arab Emirates

Milrem Robotics signed a contract with the UAE Ministry of Defense at the UMEX 2024 unmanned systems exhibition in Abu Dhabi this week and will launch its largest combat robotics program to date, delivering a total of 20 vehicles unmanned combat vehicles (RCVs) and 40 THeMIS ground vehicles (UGVs) to the country’s defense forces.

Under the contract, Milrem Robotics will conduct an experimentation and testing program aimed at integrating unmanned ground systems into the arsenal of the Emirates Armed Forces. Unmanned ground and combat vehicles with autonomous functions, high-quality communication solutions and various superstructures will significantly increase the combat capability of the UAE Armed Forces.

According to Kuldar Väärs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Milrem Robotics, the contract confirms the competitive advantage of Milrem solutions and highlights the strategic value of including high-tech robotic systems in the force structure.

Under the contract, the UAE Armed Forces will be provided with unmanned combat vehicles equipped with 30 mm MK44 cannons, THeMIS Combat ground vehicles, equipped with 30 mm M230LF remote-controlled weapon systems and long-range fire systems . Additionally, THeMIS Observe systems equipped with radar, camera and hit detection systems will be delivered. The project will also provide training to the UAE Armed Forces.
