Raver, lifelong DJ and producer, Mr C (Richard West), rapper from the hit 90s band The Shamen, thinks that ecstasy it should be downgraded to a class C drug and should be legal because it is an extremely lean drug. In an interview with the YouTube channel Party Zone Revisited two years ago, Mr. C, then 56, says he had used up more than half of his life ecstasy pills and is in the best physical and mental shape of his life.

Mr. C: Ecstasy consumption did not harm me in any way

All these years I have been ecstasy continued to use. I look great, I feel great, my cognitive abilities are perfect. I’m more creative during the day.

I’m in the best shape of my life, even though I’ve had injections every weekend for the last 30 years ecstasy-tablets (except during the last quarantine). Taking ecstasy didn’t harm me in any way.

When I in 1986 ecstasyif we haven’t started taking it, they said we don’t know its long term effects. Now I know the long term effect. It’s zero. I could be used as a study example.

Attached by me ecstasy-the amount of pills is ridiculous, their combined amount would be insane.

But I say it again ecstasy there is an opportunity to help people with their early traumas, to help them return to something in memory, to enjoy life and create a telepathic community.

I still believe it’s a good thing, that it works, and I stand by what I said 30 years ago: And he’s good! (E’s Are Good – a reference to the song “Ebeneezer Goode”).

“Ebeneezer Goode” reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in September 1992 and stayed there for four weeks. Ironically, the BBC held Drug Awareness Week around the same time.

Mr. C does not support hard drugs such as cocaine, amphetamines, etc., being against any addictive drug. Listen to the full interview here.

The Netflix series “How to Change Your Mind” describes MDMA or ecstasynot like that:

MDMA or ecstasyIt is largely associated with partygoers and the world of electronic music. Research now shows that it can have a transformative effect on people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) because it silences the part of the brain responsible for fear or the response to danger. Despite this, there are false claims that it kills brain cells. By the way, MDMA was completely legal in the United States until 1985. Enjoyed by both therapists and ravers ecstasy stands out as the first psychedelic substance that, thanks to passionate supporters, will likely soon be legalized again.
