Musician Andres Kõpper has revealed which animals he would never put in his mouth – they are too intelligent

In ETV’s end-of-year memory game, two teams were asked what events occurred during the year, including how much pork the average Estonian eats per year.

“I remember that last year Jüri Ratas lost 50 kilos during a dance performance,” joked Mart Juur when asked if he ate meat.

“I don’t even remember the last time I cooked pork,” recalls Kõpper.

“Pigs are considered intelligent animals, like dogs, and many people give up eating them because they are so intelligent that no one wants to eat such an intelligent animal,” Reikop chimed in.

“I have this problem with octopuses, because they are so intelligent that I refuse to eat them. It seems so wrong,” Kõpper revealed. “I understand the idea very well.”

“But there are chickens that don’t understand anything,” added Kõpper, smiling, who would eat chickens with pleasure. Juur also agrees with this statement. “Also, the chickens are kept so close together, as I understand it, that it’s humane to eat a few from time to time,” Juur adds.

The quiz revealed that the average Estonian eats 39.9 kilograms of pork per year.

Birgit Sarrap, Peeter Oja and Andrus Vaarik performed on the opposite quiz team of Andres Kõpper, Mart Juure and Kristel Aaslaid.
