New car sales grew rapidly in November

In November, 1,827 new cars were sold in Estonia, exceeding the result of November last year by 27.9%. This year, in 11 months, car dealers delivered a total of 21,007 new cars to customers, which is 9% more than in the same period last year.

In November, consumers purchased 129 electric cars and their share was 7.1% of total sales. The share of hybrid cars was 45.3% and more than 828 were delivered to customers. The share of petrol cars was 34.2% and the share of diesel cars was 13.1% November. The most popular segments were mid-size SUVs (34.7%) and smaller mid-range cars (23.3%).

The top three car brands were Toyota (484 cars), Škoda (274) and KIA (145). Among the models, the two Toyota models, Corolla and RAV4, were the most popular, with 161 and 143 cars sold respectively, and the Škoda Octavia was the third most purchased (82).

Sales of commercial vehicles also grew strongly in November, of which over 475 were delivered to customers, exceeding the sales of November last year by 13.1%. This year, a total of 4,656 new commercial vehicles were sold in 11 months, which is 1.2 percent less than in the same period last year. Citroen sold the highest number of commercial vehicles in November (116), followed by Renault (78) and Toyota (72). Scania (37) and Volvo (19) sold the most trucks.
