Several people lost their lives when an under-construction six-storey building collapsed in Kolkata. This incident took place in Pahararpur of Gardenrich area on Sunday (March 17) night. The local administration has confirmed the death of seven people so far in this incident. One person is believed to be still trapped under the rubble.
According to local administration sources, the deceased are Shama Begum (44), Hasina Khatun (55), Rizwan Alam (22), Akbar Ali (34), Mohammad Wasik, Mohammad Imran and Ramzan Ali. After being rescued from the wreckage, he was immediately taken to a local hospital.
