Police Clear USC Protest Encampment
On Wednesday evening, Los Angeles police officers in riot gear arrested 93 individuals at USC for trespassing, dismantling an encampment at the heart of the campus established in opposition to the Israel-Hamas conflict.

As police removed students and off-campus activists, chants of ”Shame on you! Shame on you!” echoed through the air. At 5 p.m., USC’s Department of Public Safety issued a 10-minute warning to disperse, met with defiant chants from protesters. LAPD officers, armed with less-lethal weapons, advanced towards the campus entrances as a helicopter broadcasted warnings to vacate the area.
Despite repeated warnings, protesters stood their ground, forming circles and chanting for peace. LAPD officers eventually moved in to arrest those who remained, using zip ties to detain them one by one.
