Meanwhile Trump said he had beaten Haley in the Republican Party’s Super Tuesday contest. “Donald Trump made it clear he doesn’t want Nikki Haley supporters. I want to be clear: There is a place for them in my campaign,” Biden said.
But Haley admitted she wouldn’t support it. “Now it’s up to Donald Trump to get the votes of people in our party and outside our party who don’t support him. And I hope he does that,” Haley said.
Haley, the former Governor of South Carolina and US Ambassador to the UN under Trump resigned the day after Super Tuesday. Trump soundly defeated him in 14 of the 15 primary voting states.
Haley won by 250,000 votes in the primary in North Carolina, for example, a state Trump won by fewer than 75,000 votes in 2020.
“The time has come to suspend my campaign,” Haley told supporters in Charleston.
“If we go back further, there will be more wars, not less,” Haley said.
Drawing on her foreign policy experience at the UN, Haley said it was important for the US to continue global leadership. Throughout her campaign, Haley said the US should help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression, a position at odds with Trump.
In his Truth Social post, Trump added that he would rather invite all of Haley’s supporters to join the largest movement in the nation’s history. He also described Biden as an enemy who is destroying the country. (The New York Times/Z-3)
He admitted that he did not regret taking part in the contest for his party’s presidential candidate ticket. This failure will strengthen Trump’s ability to become the Republican presidential candidate.
Both Biden and Trump quickly issued statements inviting Haley voters to join their teams. Biden praised Haley for speaking the truth about Trump.

Nearly 570 thousand voters in three key states namely Nevada, North Carolina and Michigan have chosen Haley. All of them are small communities but have significant potential in the upcoming presidential election.
