The concert at Wunderbaar in Pärnu was an introduction to the mini-tour, which will continue in Helsinki next week.

“The Lips and I have been touring with our northern neighbors for ten years now. Somehow a great bond emerged, which started already in the summer of 2013 at our first joint concert in Finland. We continued to collaborate and communicate, but this time we decided to invite them to perform in Estonia before the trip to Finland,” explained the band’s bassist and manager Heiko Leesment.

The bands will hold four concerts together, but additionally some will be held separately. On Saturday, the Lips will travel to Viljandi to perform at the Konservatorium club. “It is not yet clear whether we will also give an independent concert in Finland on January 25th,” Leesment explained.

Sibyl Vane is an alternative rock trio from Pärnu, which doesn’t need a long introduction in Estonia. With three studio albums, one concert album and almost four hundred concerts in Estonia and beyond, Sibyl Vane has made her way into the hearts of rock audiences here. With the song “Thousand Words”, the song “Eesti Laulu” took fourth place, and the British alternative rock giant Placebo and none other than the legendary Garbage, heated up the stages with their music. Sibyl Vane, however, faces her 14th year of activity by writing a new album.

The Lips, born in 2010 in a town called Kerava, are the “original band” of band members known on the Finnish indie and rock scene. The energetic English-speaking pop-rock collective has so far released four EPs and toured clubs in Finland, Sweden and the Baltics.

Sibyl Vane and The Lips tour continues today in Viljandi. At the end of January there will be shows in Helsinki, Järvenpää and Oulu.
