Visiting team Arsenal had a perfect start in the English Premier League match, as in the fourth minute Martin Ødegaard crossed the free kick into the area and Gabriel Magalhães headed the leather ball into the net. But then a rather rare situation arose in the match. Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka kicked Liverpool winger Kostas Tsimikas in the back, the Greek in turn falling and slashing the leg of his team’s manager Jürgen Klopp.

Tsimikas was injured so badly in the situation that he was replaced and taken directly from the stadium to hospital.
