Following the two previous gatherings, the Liège-Palestine Solidarity Collective once again called for demonstrations this Sunday, February 18 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in front of the Challenge company at Liege Airport.
Among the requests raised this Sunday, the collective asked in particular that the Walloon government reveal the customs records of the company Challenge, that a total embargo of military equipment towards Israel be decreed and that sanctions be applied against companies “profiting” of the conflict.
The Liège-Palestine Solidarité Collective denounces this support “made possible by Liege Airport […], even more so today when the situation in Palestine has reached such a serious level”. “While Belgium has finally requested a ceasefire, it is time for the authorities to use the power they have in hand to make it effective.”

As the collective indicated this Sunday, Challenge, a private company established since the launch of cargo freight in Bierset, is “the second largest air freight operator in Israel”. What Liège-Palestine denounces is in particular the role that the company would play in the supply of military equipment. “Recently, since October 7, it has been proven that this company has shipped military equipment to Israel several times,” denounced the collective, which recalls that military equipment would therefore have transited from the United States to Israel. , “via Liege Airport”.
