In the jubilee year, villemdrillem won Estonia’s largest music poll, Raadio 2, with the song “flaming love”. Among foreign songs, the first place was taken by Käärijä “Cha Cha Cha”, which took off from Eurovision.
During the elections of the 30th year of the R2 year, listeners voted for the ten best songs of villemdrillem: if the song “flaming love” took first place, then his “eyes closed” took fourth place.
The song “burns” made jointly by 5MIUNUS, nublu and NEXUS came in second place, and “Don’t Wake Up” by nublu came in third place. Nublu also reached the top ten with his song “heikki???”.
Finnish artist Käärijä and “Cha Cha Cha” reigned supreme on the foreign songs chart. “What was I created for?” by Billie Eilish and “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus.
Radio 2 also awarded several special prizes. The newcomer title was taken home by OLLIE, who reached #7 on the charts with the song “Venom.” The Debut of the Year award went to Silky Steps with “Treasure.” Rahel was declared the favorite of the Radio 2 editorial team, and the special award for the most played song from R2 TOP1 on Radio 2 went to Lisa Jennyfer for the song “Break Free”.
