“Rakett69” teams revealed – Forte

Ants Erik Nõmper (20) studies in year 12 at Tallinn Real School. The young man is actively engaged in business. His student company PELA won 3rd place in last year’s Estonian Best Student Company competition. He is currently producing the board game “What MEME?!”. Furthermore, he attended summer internships at Eesti Energia and SEB and spent a year as an exchange student in Germany. He cites entrepreneurship, robotics and engineering among his interests.

Jaagup Jagomägi (20) is studying computer engineering in his first year at the University of Tartu. He is fascinated by construction and technology. So he built his own room and developed a smart handle that prevents the spread of viruses. The latest project also brought 3rd place in the Estonian Best Student Company competition (2021) and a win in the Prototron Junior entrepreneurial program. The young man’s hobbies are slacklining, guitar, technology, computer games and bouldering.

Kai Urb (16) studies in the 10th grade of Lihula Gymnasium. Kai stood out as an enterprising young man. This is how she works every day in the Kaitseliudu house daughters’ organization and last year she was chosen as the best house daughter in her home district. Her older sister Lii also competed on the red team in the eleventh season. Kai’s hobbies are art, piano, 3D graphics and crafts.

Julius Putrinš (17) studies in the 11th grade of Vanalinna College of Education. Julius is interested in engineering and programming. Together with his school friends he built an electric car, with which he competed in the Greenpower series in London last year. He likes to solve problems in critical situations and in the last moments. The young man’s hobbies are running, programming and engineering.

Andri Turkson (17) studies in the 11th grade of the Miina Härma gymnasium. Andrit is fascinated by technology and mechatronics. So he deals with 3D printing, Arduino and electronics. In the course of his projects he has created an alarm clock with birdsong, a motivational box that eliminates distractions and a 3D printed remote control car. In addition, Andri produces short films and videos, plays football and has successfully performed at the Physics Olympics. His hobbies are mechatronics, cinema and football.

Violet Jürgens (17) studies in the 11th grade of the Hugo Treffner Gymnasium. Violeta successfully participated in the biology, physics and astronomy Olympics. This is how last year you won two gold medals at the European Experimental Science Olympiad. Furthermore, she has received recognition at the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad and has performed successfully in national biology competitions. In her free time Violeta also practices bouldering and plays the piano. Her hobbies include bouldering, music, astronomy, biology and physics.

Oskar Puck (18) studies in year 12 at Tallinn Real School. Oskar is actively engaged in competitive debate and heads the editorial team of his school newspaper. He represented Estonia in mental sports at both the European Championships and the World Championships. Furthermore, he deals with programming and robotics. His hobbies are debating, media, hiking and mind games.

Mihkel Rannut (17) studies in 11th grade at Tallinn Real School. Mihkel successfully participated in the International Olympics representing the Estonian national team in physics, astronomy and astrophysics. He has also achieved prominent positions in local thematic competitions. The young man’s hobbies are skiing and cooking.

Aaron Unt (17) studies in the 11th grade of Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium. Aaron is actively involved in music, programming, physics, and debate. In his free time he gives private math lessons and is working on creating a business that aims to help ninth graders pass their final exams. He won both the TalTech economic competition and the regional physics Olympics. His hobbies include programming, music and debating.

Annette Kipso (19) studies in the 12th grade of the Gustav Adolf Gymnasium. Anette is strongly committed to chemistry. She spends much of her free time solving chemistry problems or performing experiments in the laboratory. The girl also teaches chemistry to other members of the interest groups at her school. Her efforts paid off with high positions in the chemistry olympics. She would also like to work as a teacher in the future. In addition to chemistry, her hobbies include medicine and martial arts.

Rodolfo Kivi (17) studies in the 11th grade of Nõo High School. Rudolf is an extremely lively young man. Almost his entire life has been linked to Lottemaa, where he grew up and where he has been working as an actor for several years now. In addition to his presentation skills, he excelled in subject olympiads and reached the national rounds in physics, chemistry and mathematics. In addition to these subjects, his hobbies also include sport, IT and theatre.

Mary Ann Marran (18) studies in the 11th grade of the French Lyceum in Tallinn. In addition to her studies, Mari Ann is actively involved in folk dance. Additionally, she manages social media in her school’s media office and works as an actor in Lotte County. She also enjoys running, cooking and reading media.

The competition continues on January 27 at 7.30pm on Estonian television.

Science show “Rakett69”. the winner will receive a research grant of 15,000 euros from the Estonian Science Agency. The HK Unicorn Squad, a women’s tech club, announced cash prizes for the best girl and best rocket player, who will receive 6,000 euros each. Also this season LHV Bank rewards the teacher who most positively influenced the winner with 5,000 euros.

The top three finishers of the show series will be able to study at the University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonian University of Life Sciences or Tallinn University in a freely chosen specialization.

The program series “Rakett69” is produced based on the original Estonian format in cooperation with the Estonian Science Agency and Vesilinnu. The series of programs is co-financed by the Estonian Science Agency with support from the European Union through the activity “Science communication and science dissemination (TeaMe 3.0)”. The science competition first started on ETV’s screen in 2011.
