Road test: the renewed Renault Clio promises very economical driving, but does it deliver?

The updated Renault Clio has a sporty appearance and promises remarkable economy thanks to sophisticated hybrid driving.

Trust in city jeeps and disbelief in small cars may seem incredible to an Estonian, but the European car market is dominated by Clio-sized cars: with the exception of the Tesla Y and Volkswagen Golf, the top ten are ranked on these.

Clio is in fifth place, with sales growing by almost 50% year-on-year (as of October). It’s probably also a question of the model update, but probably also the fact that there are fewer cheap cars, but they are still sought after.
