Waste wood is wood that has already been used. For example, it was already installed in a piece of furniture or a house and should now end up in the trash. The tower builder intentionally used this old wood. To show that you don’t always have to throw everything away. But many things are still good enough to be used again.
Frederic Malmezac’s Eiffel Tower is 16 meters high. That’s about as tall as a five-story building. You should be able to see the tower from afar. But the biggest difference to the “real” Eiffel Tower is the material. The original was made of iron. And this tower made from so-called “waste wood”.

Eiffel Tower made of old wood

By the way: It is not the first Eiffel Tower that Frederic Malmezac built. He had also built such a wooden tower for his wedding. No wonder, after all, this landmark also stands for love and romance.
Many people should now be able to see the new Eiffel Tower. Because the Olympic flame will also be brought to Paris for the Summer Olympics, which will take place in Paris this year. Athletes bring the flame to its destination. And Frederic Malmezac would like to erect his building along their path.

Tower for the Olympic Games

The original is in France’s capital Paris. It is considered the city’s most famous landmark. Anyone who comes to Paris definitely wants to see this building. After all, the Eiffel Tower was once the tallest structure in the world! In total it is 330 meters high – the size of a skyscraper!
The neighbors will certainly be amazed: the Frenchman Frederic Malmezac and a friend recreated the Eiffel Tower – in his own front yard. And this building certainly attracts a lot of attention. Because even if it is far smaller than the “real” Eiffel Tower, the replica is still big.
