Selver/TalTech continues Cronimet with full success in the championship, Pärnu rose to fifth place

Volleyball club Pärnu beat Jekabpils Luš 3:0 (25:17, 25:20, 25:20) at home and moved to fifth place in the table with 15 points. Jekabpils is at the bottom of the table with six points.

Pärnu’s best was once again Renee Teppan, who scored 16 points (+7). Jörgen Vanamõisa added 11 points (+9) and Andrus Raadik 10 points (+3).

The reception of the summer capital team was 53%, the attack was 51%, 15 points were earned with a block (7 blocks were made by Vanamõisa) and 4 aces were hit on the serve and 16 were committed errors.

Janis Medenis brought 11 points (-1) to Jekabpils. The Latvians received 47% and the attack 33%, 5 points were obtained from the block and 5 points also from the serve (8 errors).

In the second match, leaders Selver/TalTech also beat Daugavpils University/Ezerzeme 3:0 (25:19, 25:23, 25:21) at home and secured the position. Selver has 11 wins and 33 points. Daugavpils is in third place with 20 points.

The most successful players of the Tallinn club coached by Andres Toobal were Marx Aru and Matthew Aubrey, who both scored 13 points (+10 and +5), Tristan Täht added 8 points (+4).

Selver/TalTech had 40% receiving and 54% attacking, 11 blocks and 3 serves (11 passed balls).

Armands Rokjans contributed 11 points (+5) for Daugavpils. The reception of the Latvian team was 49%, 43% of attacks were resolved, 6 points were obtained with the block and 4 points with the serve (10 errors).

The last matches of the 2023 Cronimet championship will take place on December 21, when Võru Barru Võrkpalliklubi and Selver/TalTech and Tartu Bigbank and Pärnu VK will meet. But first, on December 16, the winner of the Pärnus Aadu Luukas Cup will be announced.
