At the beginning of each year, Sirp rewards the best authors of the completed year’s work. Among the hundreds of contributors who wrote for the page in 2023, the SIRB editorial team selected three winners: Sveta Grigorjeva, Lauri Laanisto and Ardo Ran Varres.
Choreographer, dancer, poet and publicist Saint Grigorjeva published a series of program contributions on Sirbis: “How to portray a woman?”, “Motherhood as a revolutionary practice”, “From the world of the Shoah to the world of care”, “More empowering women and not men like gray cardinals!” .
Biologist and translator Lauri Laanisto The “Sidenotes between science” series published on Sirbi is like a pleasant walk in the labyrinths of science, culture and history, where you never know where the next turn of thought will lead or what the next association will lead to.
Active in the fields of music, theater and cinema Ardo Ran Varres Sirbis attracted attention in 2023 with articles that addressed the problematic of the word “sound art” and which initiated a broad forward-thinking exchange in professional circles.
