The special commission for state budget control of the Riigikogu will discuss the situation of state finances and the implementation of the state budget strategy during the public session to be held today.
President of the commission Urmas Reinsalu according to the December economic forecasts of Eesti Pank, the collection of the revenues foreseen in the state budget strategy has also become more difficult. “Based on the conflicting opinions of members of the government, it has become confusing to what extent the presented state budget strategy for four years constitutes the basis for planning the state’s financial policy. It is necessary to clarify, the current confusion creates uncertainty” , Reinsalu underlined.
The Vice Chancellor of Budgetary Policy of the Ministry of Finance was invited to the session of the Special Commission Sven Kirsipuu and head of the fiscal policy department Raoul Lättemäe and advisor to the National Audit Office Thomas Mattson.
