Following their fifth consecutive ‌victory in ‍the playoffs, ⁣the Rangers’ ⁤message⁣ is clear: ⁣maintain ‍the momentum.

If ‍one were⁣ to scrutinize‌ the 4-3 win against Carolina ⁤in ⁣Game 1 of the second round, there‌ were areas‍ open for critique.

Despite ‍Carolina’s dominance in scoring chances, the Rangers managed to secure ‌the win. Carolina’s ⁤territorial ⁢advantage did not translate into a victory as the ‌Rangers’ defense held ‌strong.

The penalty kill was ‌effective, but discipline in avoiding penalties altogether would be preferable.

At practice before Game 2,⁣ the Rangers were focused on maintaining their defensive structure.

Carolina managed several shot attempts but struggled⁣ to create‍ high-danger ⁣chances.

Coach Peter Laviolette commended the team’s offensive efforts in Game 1.

As the series progresses, the Rangers anticipate tougher challenges.

The Hurricanes will adjust their strategy, especially on special ‌teams, to counter the Rangers’ strengths.

Despite upcoming challenges, the Rangers are confident ⁢in their ability to ⁤maintain their winning ⁢streak.

United beaten by Crystal Palace, Ten Hag wants to ‘keep fighting’ after the defeat

NOS Football

Erik ten Hag had a dramatic evening with his Manchester United. United were defeated 4-0 when they visited Crystal Palace.

The defeat leaves United eighth in the Premier League, which does not qualify them for European football. Now Ten Hag’s team also has a negative goal difference. The Arsenal leader will be the opponent next weekend.

Ten Hag mentioned his team’s performance in an interview with Sky Sports “disappointing” and “by far not good enough”. The Dutch coach said he is not thinking of resigning after his farewell.

“I will continue to fight. I take responsibility for this result, but I will regain my energy for next Sunday’s match.”

Asked whether he is still the right man for United, the manager replied: “Absolutely. If the right players are there, we are a good team. Tonight we were missing almost all of our defense and then we have problems.”

Manchester United fell behind after twelve minutes in London. Michael Olise had space to take a shot from around twenty meters and controlled the ball into the corner out of André Onana’s reach.

United would have liked to carry on, but five minutes before half-time things got worse for Ten Hag’s team. After a clumsy loss of the ball in midfield, Jean-Philippe Mateta childishly played defender Jonny Evans and rammed the ball past Onana: 2-0.
