Decades after the establishment of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), significant changes are on the horizon. For years, teams have primarily relied on commercial planes for their travel needs. However, starting with the 2024 season, WNBA teams will gradually transition to chartered flights for all away games.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert described this transition as a testament to the league’s growth and development. She stated, “We have been hard at work to transform the business and build a sustainable economic model to support charter flights for the long term.”
Prior to this change, teams were only allowed chartered flights during postseason games or if they had back-to-back games during the regular season.

This is what the Yankees have been waiting for since the Dominican Juan Soto joined to Aaron Judge y Giancarlo Stanton: On Wednesday, all three Bronx Bombers superstars hit a home run in the same game for the first time.
The power show of Soto, Judge and Stanton led the Yankees to their fifth consecutive victory, and their second straight victory in a blowout over the rival Astros, this time with 9-4 blackboard at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees will look to sweep the series on Thursday (5:05 p.m. ET, live on MLB.TV).
