Steelers play at home with Olomouc on Wednesday – Archyde

The steel players have the last representative break of the season behind them, the last respite before the crushing finish of the entire year.
However, the well-deserved time off did not apply to everyone, as there was a lot of interest in the national teams from Třinec, so the coaches in the WERK ARENA were defacto only left with the torso of the team. “We had a poor number of players here, but the training sessions were of high quality. We did more individual activities and game combinations, nothing into a system, which we need to start working on and fine-tune before the end of the season,” says coach Zdeněk Moták.

Třinec’s line-up is therefore uncertain on Wednesday. The return of Marko Daň to the lineup, who is training with the team after a long injury, remains a question. “We go match by match, we want to succeed in each one. It’s about having the best possible starting position for the playoffs,” concluded Moták.
Although the Steelers won all matches against each other for three points this season, and the home game in the fall was even 5-0, the Hanáci are not among their favorite opponents. After all, last season Třinec lost both home matches with them.

The Steelers are third in the line-up, they already have a thirteen-point advantage over fifth-placed Litvínov. The certainty of direct progress to the quarter-finals is thus relatively close. In the next eight matches, however, Třinečtí will play on their own ice only three times, and therefore they will not want to lose against Olomouc on Wednesday.

Olomouc: A team that can bite
