Subgroup F has become a real magnet, not even Morocco made it – Soccernet.ee

The second round of the Africa Cup of Nations ended in a special way: four out of three matches in Group F ended 1:1.

In Group F, Morocco and DRC and Zambia and Tanzania went to great lengths to ensure that all the anxiety remained until the third round. In the first two duels it was Morocco who anticipated the goal of Achraf Hakim, who entered the area for a corner kick already in the sixth minute. Just over half an hour later, Congo had a brilliant chance to equalise, but Cedric Bakambu, who was on the spot, instead sent the ball to the post. In a close match, the score was equalized in the 76th minute: Meschack Elia, who plays football in Switzerland, crossed and Silas, a man from Stuttgart, scored.

In the second match, the 1-1 draw was compounded by the excitement of a red card shown to Zambia captain Rodrick Kabwe at the end of the first half. After losing in the 11th minute, Zambia did not lose patience after the difficulties and saved a point thanks to Patson Daka’s header in the 88th minute. The placement in group F is exciting thanks to three 1:1 draws (Congo and Zambia remained undefined in the first leg): the first is Morocco, which has gained four points, both Congo and Zambia are in the hunt, and Tanzania still has the chance to be involved in the big game.

South Africa made a powerful statement in Group E, scoring four unanswered goals in the Namibia net. The finale was opened by Percy Tau, who scored a penalty in the 14th minute. Themba Zwane also scored his goals in the first three quarters of an hour. The icing on the cake was youngster Thapelo Maseko, who came on in the 70th minute and scored five minutes later.
