TalTech and the University of Tartu/Bigbank did not give up in the match against the Latvians | Volleyball

The Women’s Baltic League competition day proved to be a success for the Estonian teams, as TalTech and University of Tartu/Bigbank won.

Ranking leader TalTech did not give up during the leaders’ match, playing with the help of the home crowd 3:0 (25:15, 25:16, 25:19) against Riga Volleyball School/LU. In addition to the final result, the home team’s superiority is also confirmed by the main statistical indicators: attack efficiency 38%-27%, positive service reception 55%-25%, blocks 10-6 and service aces 9-2 , Volley.ee reports.

Marily Lass received 25 lifts, of which she made 13 (52%). Additionally, Lass brought two block points and a service ace, thus collecting 16 points and showing a game-best efficiency of +11. Nette Peit added 13 points and Dzintra Lember 10 points for the hosts. The reply is here.

TalTech, who continues to be the only undefeated team, won all eight matches to maintain first place with 23 points. Riga Volleyball School/LU is second with 16 points.

University of Tartu/Bigbank also had success at home, when visiting team RSU/MSG allowed 20, 10 and 23 points respectively in their matches. Match stats are not fully compiled, you can watch the replay here.

The University of Tartu/Bigbank, which rose from eighth to fifth place, scored 13 points, RSU/MSG, which dropped to eighth place, gained 11 points.

On Sunday at 2 pm TalTech will face RSU/MSG on their home field, at 1 pm Tartu University/Bigbank and Riia Võrkpallikool/LU will play in the sports hall of the University of Tartu.
