TalTech remains undefeated in the Women’s Volleyball Baltic League after earning their ninth consecutive win on Sunday. University of Tartu/Bigbank accepted a limited loss.

TalTech, playing at home, lost 14:18 and 18:21 to the RSU/MSG team in the opening match, volley.ee reports. Although the Estonian team managed to equalize the score at 22:22, three consecutive points ensured the Latvian women’s team won the match. TalTech was no longer surprised, winning the second game 25:18, the third 26:24 and the fourth 25:13, thus obtaining a 3:1 (22:25, 25:18, 26:24, 25: 13) victory of the game.

Marily Lass, who shone with eight points in the third game, delighted the home crowd with 21 points. In the plus-minus calculation, Lassi’s +15 efficiency was the best in the game. Nette Peit added 14 points to TalTech’s success, Eliisa Peit 13 and Kätriin Põld 11 points.

With a service reception of 42%, the winners resolved attacks 37% of the time, the Latvians’ reception was 26% and the attack was 28%. Ten blocking points were accumulated for the hosts and seven for the visitors.

TalTech, which continues in first place, has a total of 26 points, five points ahead of closest pursuer Kaunas VDU. RSU/MSG, the eighth-ranked women’s team in the tournament, earned 11 points.

Tartu University/Bigbank added one point to the table, when Riga Volleyball School/LU had to admit superiority of 3:2 (14:25, 25:13, 18:25, 25:21, 15:11 ) on the home court.

Tartu University/Bigbank, which dropped from fifth to sixth place, got 14 points, Riga Volleyball School/LU is third with 18 points.
