TBD Pharmatech/Kastre won the thriller, TalTech had no problems | Volleyball

Two matches of the women’s volleyball championship took place on Saturday, one of which turned out to be an exciting spectacle. There was no doubt about the winner of the second match of the day.

Playing away, Viljandi Metall failed to win the match against league leader TalTech, settling for a final defeat by 0:3 (15:25, 11:25, 12:25). Among the hosts’ ranks, 13 players had the opportunity to show their skills and 11 of them opened the scoring, Kätriin Põld (+13 efficiency) and Dzintra Lember (+10) finishing the match with 13 points as the most productive, reports Volley.ee.

It is worth noting that Põld became the home team’s top scorer in the last four league games without making a single mistake. Kelly Metsamärt, three points down, brought eight points to the Viljandi representation.

TalTech was better in all four key statistical indicators: 67:31 in service percentage, 53:30 in attack. The advantage was 11:3 in block points and 11:0 in service aces. The only undefeated TalTech occupies first place in the tournament standings with a maximum of 36 points, Viljandi Metall has dropped to sixth place with 16 points.

The clash at Viimsi School turned out to be a real pleasure, where the home team Viimsi/Tallinn University lost 2:3 (22:25, 28:26, 13:25, 25:22, 11:15) against TBD Pharmatech/Kastre.

Kairin Tammel contributed the most to the winners’ success with 22 points. Elina Lebedeva added 19, Lill Kandimaa 17 and Berit Hiie ten points. Raili Hunt brought 18 points to the home team, Stefi Siht 13, Triin Kaas 12 and Paula Laub, who collected five block points, ten points.

If the losers were better at serving aces, serving receptions and blocking points, the attacks were resolved more successfully by the winners, who scored 46% of the lifts. The attacking efficiency of Viimsi University/Tallinn was 26%.

TBD Pharmatech/Kastre, which rose to fifth place, obtained 17 points, Viimsi/Tallinn University, which continues in seventh place, has ten points.
