Mind-Altering Technology: Anthropic’s Revolutionary Claude Model
AI Startup Anthropic Claims AI Models Match Human Persuasiveness
Anthropic, an AI startup, asserts that its language models have significantly enhanced their persuasiveness, according to a recent research report released by the company.
Significance of Persuasion
The ability to persuade, a crucial skill with broad implications in social, commercial, and political contexts, can potentially lead to the spread of misinformation and influence individuals to act against their own interests, as highlighted by the authors of the paper.
- Comparative Analysis: Limited research exists on the comparative persuasiveness of the latest AI models against human capabilities.
- Model Improvement: The study reveals that each successive generation of models exhibits increased persuasiveness, with the most advanced Anthropic model, Claude 3 Opus, producing

The speedometer in swimming goggles
Taking a quick glance at the watch while swimming in turns is a thing of the past: The “Form 2” swimming goggles, introduced on the market at the beginning of April, show your speed, distance, etc. swimmers directly into the lens and help them stay on track in open water. And in real time.
Swimming goggles for 250 euros? You are crazy? Of course, this seems absurd, and not just for people moving through the water in the “head-to-head” position, common in most pools and lakes. Because, and this also applies to the majority of “real” swimmers, what else do swimming goggles do other than protect your eyes from too frequent and direct contact with the water? As is known, almost no swimming goggles are 100% sealed or permanently fog-free. It doesn’t matter if you paid five, ten or 25 euros for it. This is how you live in the water. Its part of the game”.
But then the Canadian company “Form” arrives and at the beginning of April puts a new pair of swimming goggles, the “Form 2”, on the edge of the pool and asks for 250 euros for them. Without batting an eye. And the crazy thing is that the brand, founded in 2016 by former competitive swimmer Dan Eisenhardt, is not only getting by, it’s being celebrated.
How come? Very simply: Because no one buys a pair of glasses like these if they don’t have – or at least feel – a need for what they can do: Because the “Form” swimming goggles, both the previous version and the version 2 that has just arrived on the market, show the shimmer or the swimmer all the training data (and some others, but we’ll talk about that later) in real time: pace, distance, lengths, number of strokes, pause times, pulse… and so on. ON.
There’s no doubt about it: any reasonably good sports watch with a swimming function has been doing this for years.
“Augmented Reality Visualization” in Brillenglas
But with the “form” (the old one as well as the new one) you always have this data in front of you. Literally: smart glasses have a so-called “augmented reality display” integrated directly into the lens. “Near-Eye Devices (NED) is the technical term for such applications. “Waveguide display with free-form optics” is what it is called in corporate PR jargon. The display is so inconspicuous that you

Debunking the Rumors: The Truth Behind the Dead Space 2 Remake Cancellation
The gaming world overseas continues to argue over the claim that the remake of has been cancelled.
On the 11th, foreign gaming media “Giant Bom” said in their podcast: 데드 스페이스 2>The renovation work was cancelled, 데드 스페이스 리메이크>It was claimed that this was due to poor sales. ‘Jeff Grubb’, active in Giant Bomb, posted on his SNS: “데드 스페이스 2>“It was definitely in the plans and had a code name, but it’s no longer in development.”

Artificial intelligence, virtual reality, sustainability: what the fashion of the future will be like
There was a lot of discussion about artificial intelligence during the two days of the e-P Summit dedicated to fashion in the digital world. But on the stage of Stazione Leopolda, in Florence, the most pressing question was not asked: will AI be able to create clothes and accessories like stylists do today? A reasonable silence, given that no one is able to give an answer today, but perhaps also a way to exorcise a danger that is not only theoretical, given the very rapid progress of this technology in sectors hitherto considered the exclusive prerogative of human creativity, from the text to music, from images to design.
On the other hand, as happens more and more often, the expression “artificial intelligence” has been used with a certain liberality to indicate platforms and services that could not exist without AI, as well as others that have been used since before this technology became so popular.
AI as an interface
There is a third way, and it is the one that exploits the linguistic capacity of generative AI to imagine a simpler and more natural form of interaction with databases and various automatisms. A good example comes from Pink, a women’s clothing brand: it is called Pinko Brain and it is a system developed by the company in collaboration with Data Life, a Florentine company “consulting and developing in the Business Intelligence, Big Data and Predictive Analysis fields”, as stated on the site. Generative AI, in this case, is used to make a sales chatbot work for the end user, but also to produce an automated report for internal use: “We trained the software on our corporate language”, explains Alessandra Decaneto, Head of Data Science & Data Analyst of Pinko, “so the report uses expressions and ways of speaking that are typical of ours”. Similarly, AI is used to create product descriptions for ecommerce. And also for orders: just ask the assistant via chat where a certain item needs to be restocked, and the order goes. Here another declination of AI also comes into play, which the CEO of data Life Iacopo Cricelli defines as “predictive”. It is used to try to understand how sales co

Tears, screams and applause in Mazatlán at the moment of total darkness
Mazatlán, Sin. One minute until totality!
, shouted a voice from the stage speaker. The announcement caused joy among the thousands of souls who gathered in the Sister Cities park of this tourist spot on the Pacific. Expectantly, everyone watched the sky with special glasses to contemplate the eclipse.
GALLERY: “Ecstatic!” total solar eclipse
At 11:07 (local time) the Moon, the Earth and the Sun aligned, giving way to what some called cosmic dance
.
At the moment of the zenith, protective glasses were no longer necessary in this city, one of the few places in the world where the eclipse was total, which allowed it to be seen directly for the four minutes that totality lasted. There came an ecstasy that was expressed in a cluster of reactions and emotions.
Look at what beauty, look at what beauty!
said a woman trembling and with a broken voice to her teenage son who clung to her hand as when he was a little boy who needed maternal protection. She tried to contain herself, but burst into tears without stopping to look at the sky.
The drums, percussions and trombone characteristic of banda music – recently reviled because of their boisterous tones by foreign tourists and a powerful state businessman who called for its extinction – were waiting expectantly for the end of the phenomenon to begin with the chords of this traditional genre of the region.
When total darkness emerged, the scream was deafening. A blackened Moon, crowned by a halo of such brilliant white that at times it looked almost raised, landed at the highest point in the sky and projected its shadow over Mazatlán.
First came the hubbub and, as the minutes passed, an expectant calm that was only broken by voices, roars or actions with which an attempt was made to describe the sensations. It was difficult to put that magical moment into words. It went from silence to bustle in seconds.
The land of the trombone and the drum was one of the fe

Electronic Arts Puts Dead Space Series on Ice Again Despite Critically Acclaimed Remake
Electronic Arts Inc. has decided to put the Dead Space series on hold for the second time, despite the positive reception of last year’s critically acclaimed remake, which seemed to revitalize the struggling video game franchise.
While news of the shelving of the sci-fi horror series emerged recently, sources indicate that EA had made the decision as far back as last spring. The disappointment came after the sales of the remake fell short of the company’s expectations.
This development raises several interesting questions about the future of the Dead Space franchise and the gaming industry as a whole.
Implications and Future Trends
EA’s decision to halt the Dead Space series for the second time highlights the challenges faced by video game developers in today’s competitive market. It serves as a reminder that even a highly regarded remake may not guarantee sustained success.
One potential implication of this decision is the increased emphasis on innovation and originality in game development. In an era of sequels and remakes,
