Gas and electricity will become cheaper in the coming months. Gas by 17, electricity by 9%. It affects less than two million customers who have a permanent contract. ČEZ also offers long-term customers who have fixed contracts the upgrade to lower prices. Other energy distributors are preparing similar discounts.
After the discount on fixed energy contracts, ČEZ introduces tariff discounts for customers who have no-obligation contracts.
“For gas we drop by 17%, for electricity, the most common tariff, by 9%. And this big discount currently affects 1.7 million customers,” says ČEZ Group spokeswoman Alice Horáková.
This is a consequence of the progressive decline in prices on the energy market, where electricity fell by 40% and gas by 50% compared to the previous year.
Currently the family of Mr. Záruba from Liberec is moving to a new apartment and the money saved on energy costs will be very useful to them, for example, for furnishing the apartment.
