The 16,000 euro survey showed that many lime trees are neither warm nor cold due to night restriction

500 residents of Pärnu and 88 businesses selling alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption participated in the Estonian Research Center survey conducted by telephone and online at the end of November.

Just under half of the residents interviewed (46%) and just over half of the business owners (53%) more or less agree with the fact that the Municipality should in some way limit or regulate the sale of alcohol.

In the survey, 56% of residents and 37% of businesses support the current restriction on alcohol sales. 47% of companies surveyed are not satisfied with the current restrictions and 7% have no opinion. 23% of the inhabitants are not in favor of the restriction and a fifth do not think about it at all.

The survey revealed that one in ten respondents visited entertainment venues in Pärnu during the night-time alcohol ban and one in four respondents consumed alcohol in a public place at least once a month in the past year.
