Services will be provided on the 3rd floor of the new health center in Tartu 4.
The change comes into force following a competition announced by the health fund, which was used to search for a family medicine service provider to serve patients on the three lists of the municipality of Tõrva. The chosen one was Tervisagentuur OÜ, whose goal is to create a well-functioning, patient-supporting family medical center for residents, ensuring the necessary, professional medical care and a more comprehensive selection of services.
From 1 April, a new family doctor, Dr Paul-Matis Türnpuu, will start working at the head of the Tervisagentuur OÜ Tõrva team. Dr. Türnpuu will move from his current residence and workplace in Sweden, then be replaced by family doctors Madis Tiik and Jana Merisalu in collaboration with general practitioners from January to March. Family nurses Annika Leppik, Marge Udras, Laili Veskijärv, Ragne Loomus and Grete-Mai Kokamägi, who already know the patients, will continue to work in the team of the Tõrva health agency. Additionally, the team includes a registrar, a midwife and a physiotherapist.
As in all family medical centers of the health company, the pre-visit service for Tõrva patients will also begin. This means that to contact the GP center you must first report your health problems to the 24-hour self-service or call the reception.
An information session will be held on January 4 at the Koit cinema in Tõrva, where the services and staff of the Health Agency, who will start working in the new health center, will be presented. All interested parties have the opportunity to ask questions. Representatives of the Health Agency, the health insurance fund and the municipal government of Tõrva will participate in the meeting.
