Sandra Sipelgas, director of the Ökopood online shop for eco-friendly products, decided to make changes to the online shop and create a new application.
Sipelgas first of all explained that all the products sold in the e-store must also respect their values and be natural, ecological and respectful of the environment. Typically, a certificate gives this trust to the product, but not all products have it. “All cosmetic products sold in our e-store pass a preliminary check. This is because manufacturers, including natural cosmetics manufacturers, sometimes manipulate product information. This is greenwashing and the product packaging promises the earth and the time together, but the reality may not be so flowery at all,” he explained.
Above all, according to Sipelga, their goal is to ensure that the products are natural, do not contain controversial and potentially risky ingredients. Unfortunately, checking all this information is a very time-consuming and demanding job, and Sipelga needed an assistant to help him with the pre-selection and save time. This is how he came up with an interesting application.
