The educational story of November is the joint concerts of music schools of Orissaare and Kuressaare.

The Association of Estonian Music Schools (EML) celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and on this occasion it was decided to offer numerous musical experiences and fill all Estonian students with music. As part of the jubilee year, all music schools had the opportunity to organize a concert. Music schools of Odishaare and Kuressaare have decided to hold joint concerts at both the places.

Both classical and pop music could be heard, and soloists and groups performed. Between the performances, the evening’s hosts, Regina Suik and Veikko Lehto, interspersed historical knowledge from their music schools and the EML. At the end of the concert held at Orissaare Cultural House and Kuressaare Cultural Center, the joint ensemble of music schools participating in this year’s song festival, Saaremaa Wind Orchestra, performed.

This time’s song highlighted the joint effort of our music schools to bring the joy of making and performing music to artists and concert experiences to listeners. According to Regina Suig, director of the Orissaare Music School, the concerts were lively and laid the foundation for the creation of a new tradition.
