The inhabitants of West Viru were also awarded prizes at the student inventor competition

Kristo Kurve, who is in the eighth grade of Kadrina High School, received the II prize in the third grade for his work “DPF Filter or Particulate Filter Scale and Button”.

Kairo Kruus, a fifth grade student at Rakvere Freedom School, received a special award from the Energy Discovery Center for his work “Spaghetti roll.”

37 student inventors were awarded prizes in the competition and, thanks to their brainstorming and manual work, 29 exceptional inventions were created that offer solutions to everyday problems. The supervisors of the works who received the first and second prize also received recognition: for 14 works, 15 supervisors were awarded.

The national competition for student inventors organized by the Estonian Science Agency encourages students to think creatively and look for solutions to problems related to everyday life.
