Over the past month, foreign media have been actively writing about the strange decision of Hermès luxury goods shareholder Nicolas Puech to leave his 12 billion fortune to former gardener Bernard Bisson. However, due to the law, you need to adopt a gardener for this.

Nicolas Puech, a descendant of the founder of French luxury brand Hermès, wants to cancel the succession agreement under which his 12 billion euro inheritance belongs to the Isocrates charitable foundation. Since Puech is known to have no descendants, he must legally adopt a gardener. He is said to have started the adoption process.

The succession agreement between the foundation and Puech reportedly stipulates that his shares in Hermès will remain with the foundation if he does not inherit. Puech’s son would be entitled to part of the 12 billion euro inheritance – in his son’s case at least half.
